I was looking for a plain black boot that did not feel too formal and this fit the bill perfectly. The leather has a soft matt finish that makes it easy to dress up or down. I have worn them with both chinos and jeans and they worked well with both.
The inside is really comfortable and I like the tartan lining. It feels breathable and well made. The sole is light and flexible and the stitching gives it a nice touch of contrast.
They are just simple, solid boots that look sharp without shouting for attention. Really pleased with the quality.
