Classic look and solid build
I’ve had my eye on these Barbour chukkas for a while and finally pulled the trigger. Really pleased I did. The tan colour is warm and versatile, and the leather has a lovely finish straight out of the box. No rough edges or loose threads, and the stitching is spot on.
They’re surprisingly comfortable too. I wore them for an afternoon out the first weekend they arrived and didn’t get that usual ache you sometimes get breaking in leather footwear. The inner lining feels soft and there is decent cushioning in the sole.
One small thing. The laces could be a touch longer for a bit more room when tying double knots, but that’s being picky. Fit was true to size and they sit nicely under chinos or jeans.
I called up Arthur Knight before ordering and spoke with Sharon in customer service who was genuinely helpful. She reassured me about the sizing and gave me a few styling suggestions as well. All in all, I’d definitely recommend these to anyone after a smart casual boot that’s easy to wear and built to last.Posted on
