Any two dimensional measuring tool like a ruler is only an approximation of your size. Across different manufacturers the lasts and patterns vary slightly so sizing may also vary as a result. We recommend you try your shoes on a carpeted surface to avoid marking the soles and uppers first to test the fit before wear.
The shoes looked a little grey in the photos, but I'm pleased to report that they are black. The leather feels like it's good quality and my son finds them comfortable. Ours came in a European size so best to check what UK size this converts to before ordering (we ordered a UK 10 and received EU 44). £84 is quite a bit for Tommy, but if you want real leather then I guess it's the price you have to pay.
