Any two dimensional measuring tool like a ruler is only an approximation of your size. Across different manufacturers the lasts and patterns vary slightly so sizing may also vary as a result. We recommend you try your shoes on a carpeted surface to avoid marking the soles and uppers first to test the fit before wear.
Some of the most expensive Barbour shoes you can buy from what I can tell, but they're definitely worth it. The leather feels quite sturdy and doesn't have a light weight silky feel like cheaper boots. The fit was spot on. Take a bit of getting used to lacing & unlacing all the time. I've had multiple compliments about them since wearing them 3 weeks ago.
