Any two dimensional measuring tool like a ruler is only an approximation of your size. Across different manufacturers the lasts and patterns vary slightly so sizing may also vary as a result. We recommend you try your shoes on a carpeted surface to avoid marking the soles and uppers first to test the fit before wear.
As a long term Barbour customer, I decided to take the plunge with this shoes which happened to be in the sale at just £99. I'm very happy I did as they arrived in a timely manner and came exactly as described.
Straight out the box, they felt comfortable and they pair very well with most casual trousers I own. Worth noting that they're not waterproof, despite the waxy appearance. I've worn them in damp wintry weather and not had any issues with water ingress. Highly recommend.
