I was looking for a quality pair of black boat shoes that could be worn casually at weekends but still look smart enough for evenings out, and these Barbour shoes fit the bill perfectly. The leather feels thick and substantial, with a premium finish that looks even better in person than it does in the photos.
The comfort was impressive from the first wear. The padded leather insole provides excellent support, while the sturdy rubber sole gives plenty of grip and confidence on wet surfaces. They feel much more robust than many lightweight deck shoes I have owned in the past.
