We recommend you try your shoes on a carpeted surface to avoid marking the soles and uppers first to test the fit before wear.
Yes they're £30 or so more than the standard Barbour welly, but this version is worth every penny extra. The sole is a two part sole with dual density so you get the comfort of the softer material yet the durability of the outsole. They 'feel' weight on the foot too but not so much so that they're uncomfortable on long walks. I've had mine for 2.5 months now and use them daily in the surrounding fields walking the dog - no issues what so ever.
