Comfortable right out of the box
What I really like is the build quality they feel solid and well made. The raised heel gives a bit of extra height without affecting balance, and the leather lining adds a touch of luxury. For the price, they feel like a much more expensive pair.

Understated and professional
These John White monkstraps are exactly what I was looking for. The finish on the leather is clean and sharp, and the buckles are solid but not too flashy. They go just as well with a navy suit as they do with black trousers.
Comfort wise, they are great for a full day in the office. The insole feels cushioned and the tongue doesn’t dig in like with some cheaper pairs I’ve had before. They also seem to handle wet pavements well thanks to the rubber sole.
All in all, a reliable smart shoe that feels well made and worth every penny. I am thinking of picking up the same style in brown if it becomes available in my size. Arrived quick too. Just 24 hours by Royal Mail which was impressive.Posted on
