Any two dimensional measuring tool like a ruler is only an approximation of your size. Across different manufacturers the lasts and patterns vary slightly so sizing may also vary as a result. We recommend you try your shoes on a carpeted surface to avoid marking the soles and uppers first to test the fit before wear.
Purchased these after receiving the brown suede version. They're an ideal gift to be honest. If in doubt, get the next size up I'd say as there's nothing worse than tight fitting slippers. As I said with the brown suede review, the box colour and design was slightly different to that photographed above but it didn't bother me.
