Italy makes a difference
I've owned a dozen or so Sweeneys over the last ten years or so and had both their entry level shoes and also higher end Italian examples. Without doubt, Italian is the only way to go. Yes they are much more expensive (hence just 4 stars for price) but the build quality and materials used is on a completely different level.
One thing to note with these is that the soles will be a little slippery when brand new and take time to bed in with grit and dirt before they offer normal grip. Oh and the fit was ever so slightly generous (which I prefer) so as an 8.5 I went with the 8 which proved to be the correct decision. 5 star for quality.Posted on
