Very Nice Boots
These Panama Jacks ankle boots are great for a variety of reasons. They are a nice color without being black, which I love. It’s always fun to find a great pair of boots that are dark enough not to get stains, but not black, which really is not very common. I live and work on an equine farm and am in the dust and mud a lot. Therefore, my love of dark boots that aren’t black. The matte waxy leather is purposefully oily/waxy, which results in characterful markings on these comfortable and practical boots. They are padded all over on the inside, and lined with soft, smooth, glove grade leather. It’s especially wonderful around the edge of the boot along the ankle area that tends to be bony and bumpy in both humans and horses!, no matter what size one is. I always find this to be one of the most difficult areas for boots to break in. New boots cause rubs and tend to be difficult to break in around the ankle area, on all sides of the ankle. With the padding on these, this is not a problem area,, thank heavens. I can’t count how many boots I have given up on before getting this area to break in. Having skinny ankles, this is easily the most bruised and sore spot exacerbated by new boots. I am a boot person since I am always riding, training, holding, leading horses, boots are an absolute necessity, and I like short boots with which I can wear half chaps when riding, so I’m not stuck in tall boots all day. These boots are barn proof, farrier proof, mud proof, manure proof, and any marks added by the day’s activities just add to the character of the look of the boots. At the end of the day, I can simply stomp out the mud/manure/wood shavings/adobe brick ingredients, and then hose off the outer soles and tops without the inside of the boots getting even remotely wet! I just need to be careful not to get water inside the boots. I dry them off with a soft towel and then rub them with a cotton cloth that doesn’t shed, to bring back a bit of the polished look of the original boot , and voila! My boots are new again. Not many boots can stand up to the life of the feet of a true equine rider and trainer. I have tried and tested many boots as you can probably guess, and I have found that the waxy boot leather of these boots, when properly cared for, last a long time in both looks and use.
Many boots have been tried,, but few have made the ‘chosen’ cut. The boots check off all my boxes for horsemanship from foal through training, riding, vet and farrier visits, and lots of long walks when a horse rids itself of its rider and runs home without benefit of its human, leaving said human to walk the remaining 3 miles home.. :)… always an adventure, but these boots make every training day a fun adventure and it’s great to sit down at night before getting ready to clinb into bed, washing my feet and chatting with my mount, without the need of antibiotic cream and band-aids. Thanks for these great short ankle boots that do it all and look great doing it. (I can even go without socks if needed…so great when your horse decides to take a swim while you are riding him! Highly recommend for normal people who want a good-looking and hard-wearing pair of short boots that can make it easily through a training day on a horse farm, but really only need to be cute and comfy. You will be more than pleased with these, whether you chose black, dark brown, or a a golden leather color. I have them in all three colors. The brown is my favorite. Not black, but do the work of black. Have a blast in them!
Check out my comprehensive boot blog ‘The Other Boot’… These great boots easily fall into the category of ‘working boots that are attractive and stylish and comfortable enough for fashion and fun only’. No need to purchase a horse to go with them, though I would recommend it..????Posted on

Durable, Comfortable, Stylish, Practical
These Panama Jack boots are amazing for anyone who loves durability and style. The dark brown leather looks rugged but still sharp enough to wear casually. The boots are built to last, and you can feel the high-quality craftsmanship as soon as you slip them on.
They fit true to size, and the inside lining is super comfortable, making them easy to wear for long stretches. I’ve taken them on hikes and walks around the city, and they’ve kept my feet supported and dry. The grip on the sole is perfect, giving me confidence even on slippery or uneven surfaces.
The boots have a classic design that never goes out of style and pairs well with jeans or outdoor gear. The sturdy build and comfort make them ideal for colder months when you need something reliable. I love that they are stylish enough to wear on weekends but tough enough for outdoor adventures.
If you're looking for a practical, comfortable, and stylish pair of boots, these are definitely a solid choice.Posted on
