Thomas Partridge Shoes was founded in Northampton in 1876. Interestingly, they were heavily involved in providing men’s footwear to the British military throughout both world wars and continue to weave a military style into their modern designs. It’s no wonder, therefore, that they’ve created the Digby chukka. Chukka boots too have a historical link with the military, when British soldiers stationed in India were first thought to pioneer the design in the early 1900s. Unlike some cheaper chukka boots on the market, the Digby chukka is made to last thanks to its sturdy construction and durable materials.
It features a full grain chocolate brown leather upper with matching brown randing, as well as a 3 eyelet lacing system that supports strong hand waxed laces. The padded collar provides ample ankle support, and the stitched rear tab has on it the traditional Thomas Partridge tri-colours, red blue and white.
The sole is incredibly robust and designed to take on many different types of terrain. Whether you’re rushing to work over uneven pavements or walking your dog through the muddy park, this Digby chukka’s sole will ensure your foot is supported no matter what. On the side of the heel is the Thomas Partridge England 1876 logo, giving the boot a small amount of subtle detail. As you would expect from a boot of this quality, it is leather lined with a padded insole.
